Basil Pesto
Basil pesto is super easy to make and once you make it at home, you would think twice before buying it from store :) The classic use of pesto is for pasta, sandwiches, and bruschetta.
Yield: 1 and half cup pesto
Ingredients:
2-3 clove garlic
1/3 cup nuts (walnuts/pinenuts)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1 bunch of basil (Washed and dried) ~ 2-3 loosely packed cups
1/2 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon pinenuts
- In a food processor, first grind garlic and nuts.
- Add parmesean cheese, basil leaves and oil and grind them to make a smooth paste.
- Add salt and pepper to taste and just spin the processor once.
- Transfer in a serving bowl and decorate with pinenuts

You know Anjana, I recently purchases a Magic Bullet and have been thinking of doing the Sri Ganesh with a pesto preparation. Good to see you back on the blog :)
@Isha: Magic bullet sounds interesting! How many pieces does it have? Your comment reminded me to do Sri Ganesh of my new Kitchen aid :)
It has 18 pieces, and omg, did you just buy a kitchen aid stand mixer?
